Overview

Velocity Staff, Inc. is working with our client located in Bentonville, AR to identify an IT SOX Compliance expert to assist them in a Global IT Sox compliance initiative. This is a 4+ month contract opportunity that provides the opportunity for a rotation schedule of 2 weeks on travel/1-2 weeks in the US with global travel to regional client IT locations including the UK and India. The right candidate will possess senior level expertise in IT Sox Compliance Audit initiatives and have expertise with PCI Compliance, ISO, SSAE and other governance processes. 

Responsibilities

  • Audit compliance with standards and frameworks that enable and protect the business. 
  • Audit policies and procedures documents and confirm adherence.  
  • Evaluate internal and external compliance and audit programs and recommend needed changes.
  • Make needed recommendations for any remediation of control deficiencies. 
  • Assess and understand the risks and contribute to risk management initiatives. 
  • Responsible for the auditing and confirmed enforcement of policies and procedures. 
  • Exercise advanced knowledge of risk management frameworks – COBIT, ISO, ITIL. 
  • Exercise a clear understanding of governance – ISO, SSAE, PCI, SOX, etc. 
  • Exhibit senior level expertise of generally accepted SOX compliance practices and internal control techniques. 
 

Qualifications

  • Senior level experience with the audit of information security technology, audit and control measures, monitoring/investigation methodologies and privacy/regulatory requirements. 
  • Audit experience within an ERP environment (prefer SAP/GRC environment)
  • Clear understanding of RFP processes and audit responses – both governance and customer-based. 
  • Understanding of IT Segregation of Duties rules and mitigating controls
  • Familiarity with technology standards and architecture. 
  • Understanding of technology best practices and security frameworks. 
  • Ability to travel internationally to locations including the UK and India for 2 weeks at a time.  Travel, meals, lodging, applicable visas arranged through travel department and paid for by the client.
  • Expertise in business and financial fundamentals (cost/benefit, ROI calculations, NPV etc.)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
