  • Overview

    Velocity Staff, Inc. is currently working with our client located in Overland Park, Kansas to identify a Manager of ERP Systems to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role  is both a technical and managerial position that requires strong Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application skills as well as excellent communication and management skills and will be responsible for managing a team of application SME’s that design, develop, implement, maintain and administer Oracle EBS solutions to integrate with enterprise wide business processes.  

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the management of service delivery and operations for a team of technical resources in a hosted infrastructure in support of Oracle E-Business Suite and related solutions specifically to accounting system that consists of 10 ERP functions.
    • Collaborate internally with members of the accounting team, internal clients, and external consultants, this person will be responsible for understanding business requirements and translating them into functional requirements and take action.  
    • Responsible and accountable for the overall functional design, development, delivery, maintenance, improvement, continuity, and support of core accounting systems.
    • Design, estimate, propose, build, and document enterprise class architecture solutions and systems based on Oracle ERP technology offerings in a complex environment in addition to the management of day-to-day support. 
    • Manage all change, patch, instance management, SDLC, security, documentation, testing and operational policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for ensuring that architectural integrity and best-practices are maintained at the project, program and enterprise level.
       

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or networking related technologies or equivalent experience (necessary to develop self-direction, writing ability, critical thinking, and foundations of programming and software delivery fundamentals) OR commensurate experience.
    • Possess or has made progress towards receiving a Oracle Developer/Architect Certification or equivalent experience.
    • Cumulative 10+ years of experience in technology leadership and management position.
    • 2+ year’s management of technical/support personnel.
    • 2+ years Project Management.
    • 10+ years’ experience with Oracle Development tools.
    • 5+ years of functional implementation expertise with Oracle e-Business suite on at least six of the below:
      •     Accounts Payable
      •     Accounts Receivable
      •     Sub Ledger Accounting
      •     Fixed Assets
      •     Cash Management
      •     Purchasing
      •     Project Accounting
      •     General ledger
      •     Tax
      •     Property Management
      •     Expenses 
    • Oracle ERP experience with Oracle Applications R12, 11i (11.5.10.2).
    • Experience managing software solution projects that have a budget of at least $1,000,000 and business systems portfolios
      consisting of multiple applications/technologies and teams (direct or matrix).
