Overview

Velocity Staff, Inc. is working with our Kansas City based client to identify a talented IT/Business Analyst dedicated to improving business processes and efficiencies as well as lead in the identification, implementation, improvement, and on-going sustainability of best-in-class practices and technologies related to business analytics.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the Epicor ERP configuration and design to help drive business transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the design of cutting-edge technological approaches and solutions utilizing broad knowledge, best practices and benchmarking.
  • Take ownership of our data and constantly improve its quality and integrity; proactively identify data quality issues at every step and coordinate with the appropriate teams and/or software provider to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Document business processes and workflows and analyze how the ERP, and new tools and solutions can be delivered to support those processes and workflows.
  • Provide analytic support, including dashboard creation and management, basic descriptive and correlation analyses, visualization, and summarizations.
  • Troubleshoot issues, find their root cause, and any necessary corrective actions to resolve them permanently.
  • Maintain expert knowledge of analytic tools (including the ERP and Tableau) and share with users so they more effectively perform their duties.
  • Analyze system performance and outcomes to maintain and improve efficacy of analytic systems.
  • Manage company data requests including API connections, mapping, importing and exporting of data to ensure consistent, correct and safe transfer of information.
  • Participate and contribute to various IT projects throughout the facility.
  • Other duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a computer related field required.
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience required.
  • Extensive experience with Epicor software required.
  • Possess analytical ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces using creative thinking, analysis and fact-based data collection.
  • Adept at building trusting relationships while motivating/influencing others to adopt new best practices.
  • Must have a solid understanding of manufacturing and supply chain process, and knowledge of Key Performance Indicators that drive manufacturing results.
  • Experience working within an ISO or AS9100 quality management system is a plus.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with a wide audience of internal and external customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required.
