Our client is looking for an experienced, cloud-focused ETL Developer familiar with planning, building, and maintaining ETL processes as well as database development knowledge and the ability to communicate requirements across a diverse, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements from Internal stakeholders on business and reporting requirements.
  • Work with the data architects to design, implement and maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes, etc.)
  • Build reliable, efficient processes moving data between platforms.
  • Create and update existing documentation of processes.
  • Respond to process failure notifications and work with the team to resolve.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science (or 5+ years with direct database development.)
  • Demonstrable ability in tuning both database queries as well as business processes spanning multiple systems.
  • Familiar with both Relational and unstructured data stores (Postgres, MS SQL, MongoDB, ElasticSearch.)
  • Ability to read data structure documentation, such as an ERD, and infer input requirements.
  • Prior experience with ETL development tools (such as Matillion, Talend, Informatica, Alteryx.)
  • Preferred but not required qualifications include:
    • Demonstrable experience writing and maintaining Python and/or Java.
    • Prior experience with streaming datasets, such as Kafka, Amazon Kinesis, or RabbitMQ.
    • Familiarity with AWS services. (Lambda, S3, ECS/ECR, IAM.)
    • Experience with version control (git) and peer code reviews.
